About
Sheena Kadi, MBA, is a passionate advocate with over two decades of experience advancing LGBTQ rights and progressive causes. A queer, Arab millennial, she began her activism by founding PRISM, Ohio’s first LGBTQ student organization at a Catholic university. Since then, she has led efforts to combat discrimination, enact inclusive policies, and foster bipartisan coalitions.
As Toledo’s first LGBTQ Liaison, Sheena helped the city achieve its first perfect score on the HRC Municipal Equality Index. She played a key role in the landmark Obergefell v. Hodges case, securing nationwide marriage equality, and was instrumental in banning conversion therapy and passing Jude’s Law in Colorado.
Now based between Los Angeles and Denver, Sheena continues to champion equity and representation for marginalized communities. With experience spanning grassroots activism and national campaigns—including work for President Obama and Hillary Clinton—she remains dedicated to driving lasting change.
